History: american magi/magy

Magy(magic of yore) or magi have existed alongside humans for thousands of years. With powers vested in them from birth, they built great cities in places only reachable by those who know magic. Like human history there were good times, dark times and times in between but they have survived their troubles and exist today with a strong generation of young, talented, aspiring magy in training. Currently, they are recovering from a population decrease and from losing their great cities. Magy have had to learn again and again just how important it is to find the natural balance and stick with it if they really want to survive in the long run and prosper. From small magi towns to teeming cities, magi have eeked out a quiet and secretive existence alongside those who are unknown to magic. These magi settlements are surrounded by the habitat of a variety of wonderful magical creatures including horned boars, melon slugs, dragons, phoenixes, dwarves, elves, meadow fairies, nymphs, centaurs, reindeer, mermaids and seacorns.
