Go game review: Intro
Hello!
What is a go game review?
A go game review is a review of a go/wei chi/baduk game. The games are recorded on paper or the computer and sometimes it is recorded on both. After a game is over, it is often reviewed and discussed so those reviewing can learn from it. In a review strategy and possible outcomes are discussed as well as what the players were possibly thinking behind their moves on the board.
A review happens a lot of the times after a professional game in the go world because professionals play the game at a high level and those who can't play as well can learn from them.
Why?
This is my way of supporting and giving back to the go/wei chi/baduk community. If you love the game and want to improve quickly or just simply enjoy playing it, I hope we can all learn from these reviews!
For beginners or aspiring players:
I want to look at these games from a beginner's or a more relaxed perspective. I won't talk about strategy too much because it really takes someone who is above novice level to really understand it. So let's relax and have fun with it. I hope after these reviews people who want to play but haven't gotten the chance to sit down and learn will take the time to do it. And those who are struggling to improve can find inspiration to go on and become an accomplished player.
If you're an adult and wondering if you're too old to learn. You aren't! You can learn it and teach it to your kids so they can get good at the game and choose to enter the professional world when and if they're ready. Of course you should get good at it yourself so you can have fun and show off your skills too!
Now let's go!
