Shining Moon Studios helps local families in need for the holidays(events)

It looks like Santa Claus isn't the only one busy during the holidays this year. The entertainment studio that has found a new home(literally) in one of the city's historic mansions has taken up the task of helping out families in need for the past two years during the holiday season. "We grow a lot of produce on the farm here and have been blessed with excess. We find this is a good way to give back to our community who has supported us also," says Mari, a studio employee.

The studio put up ads in the local news weeks in advance, handed out vouchers to those eligible and just finished handing out the goods yesterday. On the mansion's farm and orchard they are able to grow tomatoes, potatoes, lettuce, radish, cabbage, cucumber, string beans, apples, oranges, cherry, watermelon and strawberry. They then bagged according to each family's wish which they filled out on the voucher and had it ready for pick up. Thanks to them the holidays will be a bit merrier for some low income families this year along with local supermarkets for the shorter lines and less crowded stores.
