History: dragons
At one point in a distant past, dragons of various shapes, sizes and skins filled the skies with their glorious might. Competition was fierce and territorial but it balanced things out and tiny, less powerful beings need not fear for their safety for the dragons have always been proud creatures who didn't care to kill over unnecessary things. As magy gained power, dragons were hunted for their magical, natural born goodness. One defeated dragon can be divided for potions, weapons, skins, cloaks, armor and more. They were and still are very, very useful magical beings. Now the United Magy Court(UMC) has decreed licenses for both the hunting and selling of dragon parts and obtaining either costs a pretty magy rock unless one has recommendations as talented apprentices. They may not fill the skies like in the past now but there are grand sanctuaries for them where they receive much help and recent reports from several outlets have said they are beginning to retain the strength and reputation they once had as princes of beasts.
We'll be sure to follow up in our studio's regular news as well as keep an eye out for our safety as we move in to observe these great beasts in their natural environment.
